Financial Statements, 2010

This series contains financial reports created by the Illinois Prairie Path and filled with both the State of Illinois and the US Internal Revenue Service, as well as monthly budget statements to the Board of Directors. The Audits file includes reports and correspondence regarding independent audits sought by the IPP, once in 1987 and again in 1988. The Financial statements are monthly summaries of the budget status which are produced by IPP Treasurer for Board of Directors meetings. The Tax Exempt and Not for Profit Status file contains correspondence and notifications about the IPP seeking tax exempt and not for profit status. The file is located in this series because all of the filings and reports to both the US IRS and State of Illinois are based on this status. The Illinois Not for Profit Annual Reports is a report filed with the State of Illinois which lists the IPP Board of Directors. The Illinois Report of Charitable Trusts is a financial report filed with the State of Illinois which outlines the revenue and expenditures of the organization. The reports from the gap of 1985-1990 were not received by the Archives. The US Tax Statements include the IRS-990 Tax Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax forms filed by the IPP with the Internal Revenue Service which outline the revenue, expenses, and net assets. The reports from a nearly 20-year gap from 1979-1995 were not received by the Archives.
