Scope and Contents

From the Series:

From the time the idea of the Illinois Prairie Path was born, the volunteers have published and distributed newsletters. Beginning in 1963, the newsletters have been used as an incentive to recruit members to the volunteer organization. The newsletters were intended to update members about events and meetings, as well as keeping them informed on trail conditions and extensions. The files consist of the newsletters, in chronological order by year and then by season: winter, spring, summer, and fall. Articles in the newsletters include information about events happening on the trail, animals and plants to see, new ideas and proposals, meetings, and projects. Almost always, a calendar of events included upcoming important meetings and events. All newsletters are available online on the Illinois Prairie Path website - www.ipp.org/newsletter/
