Class Representative files, 1978 - 2005
Scope and Contents
This series contains general information about fundraising from different classes through three different vehicles; annual fund, reunion class gifts, and senior class gifts. The files contain fundraising aids including a class representative handbook. These handbooks assisted class reps in collecting for the annual fund by providing goals and talking points. The “Annual Fund Class Representative” mailings were sent out from 1994 until 2005. These mailings outline each alumni class years’ fundraising goals for that annual fund. The files are organized by year the mailings were sent out, and within each year they are organized chronologically by alumni class year.
The remainder of the files pertains to special project fundraising by alumni classes. “Reunion Gift Files” contain letters to fellow alumni, committee correspondence, meeting minutes, and fundraising goals and packets. The graduating class that stands out with the most information on the reunion class gifts is 1951, due to a multi-year effort. “Senior Class Gifts Files” include possible gift options, letters sent by committee members to their classmates, flyers and pictures of events, and follow-up correspondence for completing the gift. Some class files have more information than others because not all of the classes raised enough money to reach their goal. The graduating classes that stand out with most information for senior class gifts are: 1986, 1996 1998 and 1999.

Processing Information
These files were transferred from the Office of Alumni Relations. Most appear to be files kept by Kristin Miller and select notes with essential details about success of the project were photocopied and kept in the files. The annual fund class gifts mailings were reorganized, combining two different organization styles into one by years that the mailings were sent out.
