Chronicle, 1930-1973

This series contains Ann Durkin Keating and Pierre Lebeau’s research materials for A Shared History, compiled in 1995. The research consists entirely of photocopies from the NC Chronicle and the Naperville Clarion and often contains Keating’s handwritten notes. The articles were arranged in two series, one by subject and another chronological, but the content of the two series does not duplicate one another. The articles by subject appear to correspond with the vignettes published in A Shared History, while the articles arranged chronologically appear to correspond with the timeline running through the publication.

The folder titles first indicate the source, and then indicate the working titles of Keating and Lebeau and do not necessarily match the final vignette titles. Also, this series includes topics that are not in the published A Shared History. The dates on the folders correspond to the dates of the articles, rather than the date of research.
