Scope and Contents

This collection contains documents created and distributed by the Center for Teaching and Learning. This includes: email announcements, surveys sent to faculty members, reports, a strategic plan and plan for physical space on campus. Promotional materials and handouts for programs can also be found.

Conditions Governing Access

Use restricted to current Faculty, the Provost Council, the President’s Cabinet, and the Board of Trustees. All other researchers must request permission to use through the Archivist. The Archivist will forward research requests to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Biographical / Historical

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) was conceptualized in 2007 by the faculty professional development committee. CTL launched on March 30, 2009 with education professor, Dr. Rebecca Clemente as director. CTL sought to foster excellence in teaching and learning and provide ways for the professional and personal growth of the North Central faculty. Currently, the Center for Advancement of Faculty Excellence (CAFÉ) supports faculty in their efforts to grow and thrive as teachers, mentors, scholars, and campus leaders. This collection was transferred in a 2017 accession from Dr. Rebecca Clemente. The overall folder structure Clemente created was retained. Individual file names were changed to reflect the date of creation and title/content of document. All documents were converted into .PDF/A format.
