Biographical / Historical
After the College’s move to Naperville in 1869, students were housed in the College’s only building, Old Main on the fourth and fifth floors. In 1876, the Board of Trustees discontinued the Boarding Department of the College due to financial problems and lack of space for college organizations. Students were housed in private homes throughout Naperville and were encouraged to organize Boarding Clubs to lessen costs.
