This collection contains department meeting minutes, agendas, and reports of the North Central College Speech Communication-Theater department. The majority of the material in this collection is related to the department’s curricular self-study in 1988-1989.

Emails sent by the Department of Communication and Media Studies, formerly known as the Department of Communications and before that the Department of Speech-Communication, to the campus community about resources, including the Speaking Center, or events the department sponsored from 2012-2025 are available in digital format. Files transferred from a Speech Communication department professor to North Central College Archives on July 8, 2017 – Accession number 2017-40.

Processing Information

Items were removed from binders and placed in folders based on the titles used on the binder tabs. Loose items or those without files were created by the Archives. Emails sent to the campus community were saved as .PDFs. File names were shortened for preservation purposes and edited to include the date the email was sent.
