NCC: Carolyn A. Sheehy papers

This collection contains files kept by Carolyn Sheehy from her time as director of Library Services. They include files on North Central College Library services related to curriculum and administration of the library as well as material related to her professional activities, her role as Director of Assessment and Accreditation, and her work at North Central College and in the Naperville community. The Department files include correspondence with Department Chairs and faculty while Library Instruction contains the specific bibliographic instruction sessions for each subject. The Ex Libris is the library newsletter created by Carolyn Sheehy. The Library Guides are booklets related to using library services. The files related to Funds and Grants include applications and development and were originally kept in individual files but were grouped together in processing. Both Library Meetings and Staff Meetings contain agenda information and/or minutes. Files containing orientation material are for different groups such as faculty or students using library services rather than related to the College’s orientation. The Annual Reports contain information about the library’s development including changes in staff, gifts received, expenditures, facility progress, and collection growth. Library Usage Surveys pertain more to frequency of use of specific library services while Statistical Reports include the information on budget and balance. The library has several Special Collections and the files for these include information on creation, inventory, and procedures for viewing these collections. The Space Planning files contain information on library remodeling, utilizing the library’s space, and improving library services.
