Scope and Contents

This collection contains letters that Edward and Hettie wrote to each other when they were physically apart during the early part of their marriage. A small number of letters received from family members and others are present. One of Edward’s religion textbooks, a copy of his master’s thesis, and a Domm/Damm family history book are also part of this collection.

Biographical / Historical

Edward Ezra Domm served as Professor of Bible and Religious Education from 1912-1946, and Director of Personnel and Counselling from 1947-1949 at North Central College (known before 1926 as North-Western College). Born in Alsfelt, Ontario, Canada, Edward received his Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1909 from the Evangelical Theological Seminary (known prior as Union Biblical Institute). He married Hettie May Lint of Cayuga, Ontario, Canada on June 28, 1911. He received his Master of Arts in Religious Education from the University of Chicago in 1919.
