Record Group 1: Personal Files, bulk: 1984 - 1999

The Personal Files contain materials on scheduling, including correspondence, invitations, and appointment books. Campaign and election materials can also be found in this area. The Campaign Files, 1984-1997, for the most part consist of general election materials such as fliers, pamphlets, support cards, petition forms, newsletters, fundraisers, and endorsement information. The Invitation Files, 1985-1998, consist of invitations accepted and scheduled and may include phone messages, letters, notes from staff or organizers, supporting information about events and organizations and thank-you letters following the events. The invitations are divided into two sub-series, the first being invitations relating to national or Washington, D.C. area events, while the second relates to local Illinois 13th Congressional District events. The final series, the Schedule Files, 1985-1998, includes appointment books and printed schedules received from both offices. The appointment books include handwritten entries, while the printed schedules appear as typed and, later, computer-generated forms.
