Women's Voices, 1997
Scope and Contents
The advisory committees were groups of individuals from the 13th Congressional District who were assembled by Congressman Fawell to review materials before Congress that related to their area of expertise. Advisory committees were created for business, education, science and technology, women, and health care. Not all committees are represented annually within the files. The Advisory Committee Files contain minutes, agendas, memoranda, member lists, attendance lists, subcommittee lists, budgets, a few press releases, and membership applications. A separate binder contained mailings to members for 1993, and these mailings were filed separately for each committee. (The mailings contain cover letters and photocopies of newspaper and magazine articles, and reports and information pertaining to that committee.) The Advisory Committee Files were maintained by and received from the District office.
