Scope and Contents
This series includes the Seminary Review and the course catalogs for the Evangelical Theological Seminary. Begun in December 1914, the Seminary Review includes editorials and testimonials from faculty and students, as well as articles featuring student’s work. In the later editions, more articles are by faculty and announcements are featured.
The course catalogs are designed as guides for students to the Seminary’s academic programs for each year, including admission requirements, class schedules, academic year calendar, graduate courses, and also, student roll. The course catalogs also include announcements to the campus community, such as faculty appointments and other changes in the community.

Biographical / Historical
Course catalogs were first published in 1876 as part of the North-Western College catalogs. Seminary course catalogs began independent publication in 1911. The Seminary Review was first published in December of 1914 by students of the Seminary. In that year it was published three more times and then compiled into a bound edition. After 1915 a bound edition was not published again until 1949 in a 75th anniversary edition. In the 75th edition the Seminary Review was published by faculty. This series contains both Seminary Reviews and Seminary course catalogs. After 1948, the course catalogs were published as an issue of the Seminary Review, which were bound annually containing all four issues. The course catalogs were the second issue of the school year or were bound separately. After 1958 the Seminary Review and the course catalogs were published separately.
