Scope and Contents

These files include biographical information on faculty and staff of North Central. Specific materials include curriculum vitaes, news clippings, pages from College publications about the individual, and other personnel notes. Biographical information sheets completed by the individuals were occasionally solicited by the Public Information Office and are included in these files, as well. They were created as a reference for publicity requests. The folders date from as early as 1960, although the majority are from the 1980s and 1990s.

Extensive files exist for three presidents of the College, Arlo Schilling, Gael Swing, Harold Wilde. They include news clippings, speeches, campus-wide memos, and pages from College publications.

The photograph files include photographs of faculty and staff of North Central. The majority of the images are posed portraits, although some action photos are also included. The folders date from as early as 1960, although the majority are from the 1980s and 1990s.

Conditions Governing Access

Archivist review is required before researchers may use non-photograph files. The archivist will review requested file prior to researcher use for remaining private information. Any page containing such information will be photocopied and redacted for the researcher to use.

Processing Information

The files remain in the original manila folders. During processing, materials that contained private information such as birthdates and Social Security numbers were discarded. Additionally, materials that duplicated information already held by the College Archives were removed.

An additional accession was received in 2011 and incorporated into the original series. Individual materials, such as updated resumes/CVs are accessioned and added as they are received.
