Slides, 1964 - 2005
Scope and Contents
The slides encompass a variety of campus topics, including, among others, “Academic Programs,” “Building and Grounds,” and “Sports.” In addition to classroom shots with identifiable activities, the “Academic Programs” topic also includes action shots of faculty, and where possible, an entire sleeve of slides within the folder is labeled with the faculty members’ name. The “Student Life” topic is a large part of the series, mostly consisting of photographs of unidentified students in poses reflecting campus life and activities. This portion of the collection is arranged by the apparent purpose and focus of the photograph. For example: “Candids” are face shots of unidentified students and “Students Outside Goldspohn Hall” indicates that Goldspohn Hall is merely the backdrop for a photo focused on student activity in front of it. Very seldom is the photographer of an image indicated.

Processing Information
Upon arrival in 2003, this series had no inherent order. Since this was an entirely unorganized series, the Archives imposed an organization scheme which mirrors the general College Archives organization.
This series of slides, roughly 10,000 35 mm slides, were transferred to the College Archives from the Public Information Office in August 2003.
Additional transfers of slides from the Office of Marketing and Communications in March 2007 and August 2009 were added to this collection.
