This collection contains This Week from 1990 to 2009. This Week included a calendar of campus events, feature stories, (usually about a faculty or staff member or specific campus event), news about faculty, staff and students, and any major administration or academic decisions. The electronically distributed This Week had an embedded link to the web calendar of events. Hard-copy print-outs of This Week are part of this collection.

Biographical / Historical

Created in 1990, This Week was a newsletter directed towards College faculty and staff published by the Office of Public Information (Office of Marketing and Communication). Beginning in 2001, This Week was published electronically only. This Week was released weekly during academic terms and monthly during recesses. Starting in 2022, the Office of Communication published a new internal newsletter, “Inside NC.” This newsletter was distributed to the campus community via e-mail twice a month.

The base collection of the College Archives had no inherent order. The Archives created this out of the base collection in 1999. This Week was printed by the Archives as it was published electronically and added to this series until 2009.
