NCC: Scrapbooks
Scope and Contents
In the 1910s and 1920s, a number of individual students maintained scrapbooks documenting their college years. They included a variety of ticket stubs, programs, photos, name and place cards, party favors, letters and notes, and invitations. A few of the scrapbooks are largely news clippings.
The container list for this series provides a brief description of each scrapbook including compiler, dates covered, types of items included, and any special interest or focus demonstrated. Due to the unique sizes, this series is arranged by size and format rather than by dates or names.
Theses scrapbooks continue to be an excellent source for examining campus life during this time period. As many of these scrapbooks are in the same cardinal red binders, it can be presumed that the bookstore had these for sale.
Scrapbooks are added to this collection as they are received by The College Archives.
