Scope and Contents

This collection of approximately 4,000 color slides consists of images taken by Professor Robert Shoemaker from 1970 through 1989. These slides almost entirely feature Naperville, including various activities, buildings, seasons, and areas of the city. Examples include Last Fling parades, the Sesquicentennial celebration (1981), the 1978 blizzard, private homes, and street scenes.

Scope and Contents This collection contains photographs on a wide variety of subjects related to the College from 1866 to 2022. Subject headings include: "Academic Programs," "Administration," "Faculty," "Historical," "Presidents," "Sports," and "Student Life," mirroring the College Archives organization scheme. This collection contains vinyl records with content relating to North Central College. Of special interest are the recordings of Professor Harold White reading “A Christmas Carol” and North Central College Concert Choir performances conducted by Paul Warren Allen.

Scope and Contents In the 1910s and 1920s, a number of individual students maintained scrapbooks documenting their college years. They included a variety of ticket stubs, programs, photos, name and place cards, party favors, letters and notes, and invitations. A few of the scrapbooks are largely news clippings. This collection includes sheet music produced by and about North Central College. It includes copies of the Alma Mater and the book College Song of North Western (as North Central was known before 1927). There are fight songs and an ode to Old Main in this series, as well.

Scope and Contents These photographs captured life on the North Central Campus from 1986-1999. The majority of the photographs are from 1994-1998. Photographs document student clubs, athletics, events, academic buildings, and students and faculty and staff on campus.
