Scope and Contents
This collection consists of B. Pierre Lebeau’s files from his time as assistant vice president of academic affairs. The majority of the papers pertain to either faculty administration or the Japan exchange program. The faculty administration files include the 1989 faculty handbook as well as materials reviewing and summarizing awards, grants, and professional terms for faculty. Materials in these files are largely memos, correspondence, guidelines/handbooks, and reports. The Japan exchange program papers include correspondence with sister schools, legal exchange agreements, reports and reflections by participants, and committee minutes and reports.

Biographical / Historical
B. Pierre Lebeau served as Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs from 1986 to 1991. Lebeau was also a faculty member at North Central College since 1966 as Professor of French and History. Lebeau retired from North Central in 1999.
In 1984, North Central established a Japan exchange program with Hirosaki Gakuin College. Osaka Jogakuin College and Nagoya Gakuin University were also sister schools of North Central. The purpose of the program was to exchange undergraduate students and teachers between the institutions.
